With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Eugene Newton of Clarkson, Kentucky, born in Leitchfield, Kentucky, who passed away on June 23, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lloyd and Viola Newton (Couch); and his siblings, Charlotte Newton and Clarence "Frito" Newton. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Sue Newton; his son Richard Dale Newton; his stepsons, Johnnie Marvin Mathis (Amy), Kevin Scott Mathis (Jamie) and Derek Shawn Mathis; his siblings, Gail Haycraft (Jeff), Nova VanMeter, Walter Newton (Debbie), Tommy Newton (Sandra) and James Newton (Melissa); his sister-in-law Veda Kay Huff; his granddaughters, Marissa, Sheryl Newton and Makayla Mathis (Austin); and his stepgrandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Jonah and Mikah Mathis. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
