He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline C. Evans Walz; his stepchildren, Karen Caskey, Kim Caskey, Don Caskey and Kerry Caskey; his parents, Marie Walz Terrell and Charles C. Walz; and his siblings, Dorothy Stockett and Robert Walz.

He is survived by: his son Charles E. "Chuck" Walz (Kelly); his stepson Ron Caskey (Micki); and his niece Pat Westbrook of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren.
