He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorotha Daniel and Thelma Colvin Hawkins; his wife Elizabeth Louise Joan "Betty" Hawkins; his son William Avery Hawkins; and his granddaughter Kimberly Kaye Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Hawkins (Sandy) of Chaplin and Wynnette Hawkins of Chaplin; and his sisters, Margie Muncy of Louisville and Ilene Crouch of Bloomfield.
