He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenace Martin and Mary Martin; and his brothers, James Martin, Bobby Gene Martin and Jack Martin.

He is survived by: his sibling Rivers Nursing; his wife Helen Burch Martin; his children, Kevin Martin and Cheryl Ferguson (Roger); his grandchildren, Kevin Martin (Cindy), Jason Ferguson (Kaitlin), Jenny Kroll, Christopher Martin (Kaycee), Amy Sandell (Kevin), Rebekah Martin, Nathan Ferguson (Katheryn) and Rachel Ferguson; and his siblings, Richard K. Martin and Mary Christine Allan. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
