She was predeceased by : her husband Leroy Rager; her parents, E. C. Yewell and Sally Yewell; and her siblings, Eula Mae Hayes (Bob), Louise Ogden (Bennie), Harold Yewell and Russell Yewell.

She is survived by : her daughter Janice James (David); her grandson Donny James (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Isaac Nelson and Jacob Nelson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
