He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Higgs and Gwendolyn Higgs; and his siblings, Larry Joe Higgs, Charles "Satch" Higgs and Patsy Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Higgs; his sons, Greg Higgs of Owensboro and Brian Robinson (Kristi) of Central City; his grandchildren, Dalton Higgs of Sarasota, FL, Jordan Robinson (Amber) of Greenville and Kaitlyn Robinson of Central City; his sisters, Mimi Harris of Central City, Jamie Mehne of Evansville, IN, Shelia Huffman of Booneville, IN and Candace Allega of Evansville, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Julia Higgs of Utica, Helen Brand of Central City, Forest Deason of Central City and Jerry Deason (Lavonda) of Central City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
