She was predeceased by: her husband Walter "Rusty" Pointer; her son Ray Franklin Pointer; her siblings, Truman Sallee, Jay Sallee and Ruby Cobb; her grandchildren, Misty Wood and Jason Wood; and her parents, Burgess Sallee and Rethal Sallee.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Delaine Pointer, Rita Gail Pointer (Alvis), Ann Pointer, Tracy Fraze (Jimmy) and Heather Pointer. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren and twenty-six great-great-grandchildren.
