With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nell Jane Stewart of Central City, Kentucky, born in Greenville, Kentucky, who passed away on May 22, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Nell Jane leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her husband Shelby Gene Stewart; her brother Dr. Garland Ray Garst; and her parents, Garland Garst and Ruby Garst. She is survived by: her children, Ramona Stewart and Gene Ray Stewart (Jo Nell). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Muhlenberg County Humane Society.
