She was predeceased by : her husband John Thomas Forsythe; her sons, Thomas and Anthony Forsythe; her siblings, Leon James, Barbara Dukes and Ellen Logsdon; and her parents, Cecil James and Ida James.

She is survived by : her daughter Kay Canler (Kenny); and her siblings, David James and Linda George. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
