He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Atterberry Kyle; his daughters, Kathy Kidd and Vicki Bouknight; his stepdaughter Kimela Gary; and his parents, James Kyle and Pearl Kyle.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin Ray Kyle Jr., Roy Kyle, Anita Giordano, Tina Price, Lori Pshak and Audrey Higgs; his stepdaughters, Roxanna Gary and Yolanda Gonzales; and his sisters, Ruby Klein and Maxie Deering. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.
