He was predeceased by: his father Edward Mathis; and his siblings, Kent Mathis, Gregory Dalton, Shellie Dalton and Beverly Benedict.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Patterson (William) of Denver, Colorado; his granddaughters, Sarah and Samantha; and his sister Jacqueline Nichols (Byron) of Randle, WA. He is also survived by three nephews and three nieces.
