He is survived by : his children, Jesse James Smith Jr. and Ruby Purvis (Nate); his grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Haley and Olivia; his siblings, Stevie (Beverly), Johnny (Sissy), Wanda, Rita and Tootsie; and his pet Chance. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
