He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Welborn and Mossie Mathis; and his siblings, Habrey Joines, Wilbert Joines, Raliegh Welborn and Darlene Stader.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Kelley (Paul) of Palm Cost, FL, Kathi Evans of Central City, Frieda JoAnn Givens of Central City, Tammy Novack (Eddie) of Greenville and Ruben Wood (Vicki) of Powderly. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
