He was predeceased by: his parents, James Grady and Myrtle Marie Smith Phillips; his wife Mary Jo Phillips; and his siblings, Henry Phillips, Johnnie Merle, Clara Watkins and Cora Hanson.
He is survived by: his children, Rebekah Phillips of Viroqua, Grady Phillips (JoAnn) of Fairhope, Marc Phillips (Nicola) of Haskell and Bill Phillips of Evergreen, Colorado; and his sister Flora McDonald (Mitchell) of Preston, Mississippi.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bethany Methodist Church (3324 Cato Rd, Braxton, MS 39044). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Bethany Methodist Cemetery (3324 Cato Rd, Braxton, MS 39044).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to support the Mary Jo Phillips Daycare Center in Asuncion, Paraguay.
