She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schindler and Lillie Schindler; and her siblings, Ginger Willis, Audrey Henderson, Virginia Lee "Jenny" Bates, Roger Schindler, Charles "Buck" Schindler, Dickie Ray Schindler, Jeff Schindler and Bobby Jewell Schindler.
She is survived by: her husband David Nelson; her children, Charles Nelson (Mindy) and Jennifer Nelson; her grandchildren, Brittany Randolph and Brett "Bubba" Nelson; and her siblings, Margie "Diane" Atkinson, Ramona Gail Schindler and Kenny Schindler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
