He was predeceased by: his parent Irene Simms. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Mark Bumgardner; his children, Morgan Schroader (Aaron), Samantha Simms, Shawna Simms, Jon-Michael Simms of Central City and Chris Simms of Paducah; and his grandchildren, Emma, Carson, Caroline and Eden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
