He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Higgs and Helen Higgs; his stepmother Dorothy "Dot" Higgs; his siblings, Jackie Higgs, Billy Higgs, Angela Pendley and Mary Jane Barton; and his stepsister Joyce Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Connelly Higgs; his children, David Higgs (Janet) of Central City and Helen Jeffers of Cleaton; his grandchildren, Jayme Atcher (Landon), Haley Harper and Michael Higgs (Haley); and his great grandchildren, Carter Atcher, Collin Harper and Madilynn Atcher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
