She was predeceased by : her parents, Joe Edison and Zella Piper Avery; her husband John Segers; and her siblings, Ollie Mosby, Jonell Hamby, Joe Avery, Jr., William "Bill" Avery, Lloyd Avery and Jimmie Avery.

She is survived by : her children, Timmy Segers (Tammy) of Nelson Creek and Lorie Piper (Darren) of Nelson Creek; her grandchildren, Emily O'Neal (Justin), Kacey Huff and Alesha Luckett; her great grandchildren, Paisley O'Neal, Autumn Decker and Ryann Paige Decker; her stepgrandchildren, Madison Piper and Cameron Piper; and her siblings, Bobby Avery, Larry Avery, Donnie Avery, Richard Avery, Charlie Avery, Margaret Rector and Loretta Everett.

A burial was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Tucker Funeral Home (113 N 3rd St, Central City, KY 42330). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
