She was predeceased by : her parents, J. E. Laffoon and Vivian Chandler Laffoon; her former life partner Ralph Bethel; her husband Earl Gish; her sister Rebecca Meeks; and her niece Leslie Bolser.

She is survived by : her nephew Terry Meeks of Paducah; her niece Suzi Mangina (Tony) of Kevil; her great-nephew Alexis Bolser of Henderson; and also, Justin Bolser of Central City and Jessica Bolser of Central City.
