He was predeceased by: his parents, John Garner and Hazel Garner; and his siblings, Bobby Garner, Billy Garner, Steven "Cotton" Garner, Kevin "Tiny" Garner and Karen Hobgood.
He is survived by: his daughter Erica Hawkins (Allen); his grandchildren, Maddox, Jessop and Paisley Hawkins; his sisters, Barbara Garner, Connie Watkins Smith (Ronnie), Mickie Garner, Phyllis Camplin (late Mike Camplin) and Kimberly Ward; and his pet Penny.
