He was predeceased by: his mother Jessie Lois Jones Parkhurst; and his stepfather Jack Parkhurst. He is survived by: his father Samuel Lee Keown, Sr.; his wife Lori Leach Keown of Centertown; his stepmother Martha Keown Sr. of Centertown; his children, Samuel Lee Keown III, Samantha and Shannon; and his siblings, Patty Calvert (Kenny) of Evansville, Indiana, Dannie Joe Keown (Mayeth) of Wadesville and Tony Parkhurst (Charla) of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
