She was predeceased by: her mother Peggy Papineau; and her daughter Cassie Gortmaker. She is survived by: her boyfriend David Wayne Slaughter of Cecilia, KY; and her children, Edward Charles Jacoby, III (Hannah Butterworth) of Elizabethtown, KY, Andrew Gortmaker of Elizabethtown, KY, Branden Slaughter of Elizabethtown, KY and Brianna Slaughter of Elizabethtown, KY. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Manakee Funeral Home - Elizabethtown (2098 Leitchfield Rd, Elizabethtown, KY 42701). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
