He was predeceased by: his parents, John Abney and Ada Mae Abney; and his wife Rita Abney. He is survived by: his sons, James C Abney, Jr. (Gina) of Indianapolis, IN and John M Abney (Kimberly) of Cecilia, KY. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
