He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Phillip Coates and Helen Maxine Thomas (Rider). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Coates; his daughters, Samantha Coates, Ashton Philpott and Megan Gilbert; his grandchildren, Corey Miller, II, Abigail Philpott, Maverick Wells and MaKaylee Wells; and his siblings, Anna Coates, Paul Coates (David Wayne Coates) and Blue (Punk).
