She is survived by: her parents, Ken Pennington of Cawood and Norma Brock Williams of Dryden; her husband Johnny Simpson of Cawood; her children, Ethan Surgener (Cede) of Pennington Gap, VA, Austin Surgener of Dryden, VA, Alexa Surgener of Cawood, KY, Chrystina Perkins (Adam) of Cawood, Hunter of Cawood, Landon of Cawood, Bentley of Cawood, Mason of Cawood, Reese of Cawood, Wyatt of Cawood and Simpson of Cawood; her brothers, Tom Helton (Suprena) of Cranks, KY and Harold Helton (Jewell) of Harrogate, TN; her grandchildren, Sophia, Aislee Surgener, Leelen Allen, Chesni, Brystol, Little Adam and Andrew Perkins; her nephews, Jeremy, Nathan and Jared Helton; her close friends, Jennifer Ledford, Tammy Brewer, Little Juanita Cole, Michelle Pacholewski, Babe Noe, Crystal Gabbard and Vanessa Brock; and also Skyler Garrett.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cawood Pentecostal Holiness Church (3765 S Hwy 3001, Cawood, KY 40815). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pennington Cemetery.
