She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Schuyler Poynter and Harriett Logsdon Poynter; her son Michael Chapman; and her brothers, William "Bill", Clarence, James Virgil "J. V." and Curtis "Curt" Poynter.
She is survived by: her husband Randall Chapman; her son Tony Chapman; her grandchildren, Jordan, Kimberly, Nicholas and MaKayla; and her siblings, Patricia Rutherford, Helen Byrd (Tausey Newby) of Louisville, Warren Poynter (Denise) of Florida, Paul Richard Poynter (JoAnn) and Jerry Poynter (Maggie). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
