He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Smith and Anna Duncan Smith; his wife Patricia Ann Turner Smith; and his brother Darwin Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Misty Smith (Ciara); his stepson Chad Martin (Tina) of Cave City; his grandchildren, Morgan Gossett (Derek) and Kennedy Horton; his great grandchild Colt Gossett; and his brothers, Tony Smith of Glasgow and Darrell Smith of Glasgow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cave City Cemetery in memory of Robert.
