He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jewell Gibbons and Lois Bowles Gibbons; and his brother-in-law Timmy Martin. He is survived by: his siblings, Anthony Gibbons (Beth), Cheryl Renick (Phil), Cherry Martin and Kimberly Samaras (Jordan); his stepchildren, Chris Pruitt, Braxton Pruitt and Trevor Byrd; his close friend Cindy Byrd; his nieces and nephews, Kyle Renick, Ryan Renick, Kori Renick, Issac Gibbons, Samuel Gibbons, Reagan Samaras and Jacob Samaras; his aunts, Linda Gibbons and Bessie Gibbons; and his cousins, Amelia Kiser, Les Broady, Wesley Stephens, Darlene Lawson, Randy Gibbons, Everett Chase, Brenda Ault, Bill Chase, Dennis Smith, Greta Johnson, Diane McGuire, Steve Gibbons and Kenny Gibbons.
