He was predeceased by: his son Wally Hatcher; his parents, Lonnie Hatcher and Ada Laird Hatcher; and his siblings, Joe Hatcher, Herschel Hatcher and Annie Frank.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gloria Bryant and Monica Perkins; his granddaughters, April Hatcher, Kelly Hatcher, Christy Forcier, Sherry Atwell and Carnitha Hobbs; and his close friend Juna Goode. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
