He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Spradlin and Martha Spradlin; and his siblings, Bessie Clark, Goree Spradlin, Kelly Sisk, Lou Henley, Viola Gosser, Bill Spradlin, Leo Spradlin and Lewis Spradlin.

He is survived by: his wife Clarice Birge Spradlin; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Russell (Larry), Evelyn Birge, Phyllis Birge Short and Louise Birge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
