He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Smith and Bessie Settle Smith; and his siblings, Richard Smith, Donnie Smith, Bonnie Smith and Genene Chapman.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Smith (Jessica), Leticia Montgomery (Chris) and Erica Broyles (Conley); his grandchildren, Layla, Haily, Deanna, Madisyn, Harleigh and Marshall; his siblings, Victor Smith, Roger Smith, Ronnie Smith, Jimmy Smith and Connie Parrott; and his close friend Gary Toohey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
