He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael James Rogers II and June Alice Gebo Rogers; and his son Nicholas Bakk. He is survived by: his children, Abigail Rogers-Sullivan (David) of Munfordville, KY, Melanie Bakk of Munfordville, KY and James Philip Rogers of Lexington, KY; his brother Col. Michael James Rogers III (Karen) of The Villages, FL; and his grandchildren, Juliet Ragland, William Brown and Dawson Sullivan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Bowling Green council number 1315.
