He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Holsinger and Mary Ridenour Holsinger; his daughter Cheri Boston; and his siblings, Charles Holsinger (Gerri) and Jewell Stull.

He is survived by: his wife Daisy Smith Holsinger; his son David Holsinger (Dennise) of Cave City; his grandchildren, Charlie Holsinger, Dusty Hood, Tyler Lambirth and Whitney Furlong (Chris); his great grandchild Eli Walden; and his sister Areta Hatfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
