Rose Elkins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Elkins of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ison and Nancy Yonts Ison; her husband Morgan Tennyson Elkins, Jr.; and her great grandchild Shelby Arin McDowell. She is survived by: her children, Jo Crawford (Rick) of Summerville, SC, Deborah Wallen (Howard) of Versailles, KY, Mary Lois Mosley of Catlettsburg, KY, MaDonna Bryant (Larry) of Catlettsburg, KY and Morgan Tennyson Elkins, III of Huntington, WV; and her grandchildren, Tenna Modzelewski, Jason Crawford, Suzette McDowell (Bill), Roger Elkins (Kelli), Dustin Wallen, Olivia Maloney (Shawn), Amanda Bryant, Ernie Bryant (Kayla), Brittani Bryant, Joshua Bryant (Katie), Bradley Elkins (Ashley), Jonathan Elkins and Mary Katherine Elkins. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel (3409 13th St, Ashland, KY 41102). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
