She was predeceased by: her siblings, Charles Rakes (Janice), Bus Rakes (Mary Ann), Johnny Rakes, Duck Rakes, Carl Rakes, Betty Rakes, Juanita Rigsby (Leon) and Jean Teer (Phil); and her niece Brenda Hall.
She is survived by: her siblings, Paul Rakes (Fay) of Catlettsburg, KY, Robert "Bob" Rakes of Catlettsburg, KY, Phyllis Meeks (Wornie) of Harts, WV and Martha Snehotta (Dieter) of Elyria, OH; her sisters-in-law, JoAnn Rakes of Catlettsburg, KY, Judy Rakes of Rush, KY and Sue Rakes of Catlettsburg, KY; her nieces, Christina Hicks and Anita Watts; her nephew Paul Eddie Rakes; and her close friend Shelbie. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home (2702 Panola St, Catlettsburg, KY 41129). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
