He is survived by: his wife Dovetta Thompson Adkins; his children, Jonathan Kevin Adkins Jr. of Catlettsburg, KY and Kimber Leigh Adkins of Catlettsburg, KY; and his brothers, Lat Gerald Adkins, Jr. (Mary) and Matthew Kirk Adkins (Monica). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home (2702 Panola St, Catlettsburg, KY 41129). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East (100 Veterans Mem Dr, Argillite, KY 41143).
