It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ila Joan Romer of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, born in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Frances and Otto Everett Manley; her siblings, Jimmy, Woody, Addison, Scottie, Junior Manley, Faye Henderson and Billie Castle; and her son-in-law Archie Utterback.
She is survived by: her grandson Joe; her husband Francis Romer; her children, Ronda Utterback of Mt. Sterling and Joe Romer (Patty) of Lexington, SC; her siblings, Doug Manley of Mt. Sterling, Jean Little of Mt. Sterling and Janice Williams of Mt. Sterling; her grandchildren, Doug Romer (Leigh Ann) of Lexington, SC, Jodi Myers (Eric) of Lexington, SC and Bradley Utterback (Keri) of Mt. Sterling; and her great grandchildren, Cohen Romer of Lexington, SC, Will, Scarlet Utterback of Mt. Sterling, Lainey, Brenley and Clayton Myers of Lexington, SC.. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
