He was predeceased by: his stepbrother Rick Dowdy. He is survived by: his siblings, James "Bub" Keelin of Catlettsburg, KY and Becky Sager (Brent) of Ashland, KY.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel (3801 13th St, Ashland, KY 41101).
