With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Wesley Gifford of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Stephanie Brown Gifford; his children, Dylan Gifford (Madeline), Dustin Gifford and Sophia Gifford; his parents, John Gifford (Mary) and LaVerne Day (Jim); his siblings, Keith Gifford (Teri), Johnny Gifford (Melinda) and Kathy Gallaher (Kevin); his stepsiblings, Phillip Quillen (Amie), Missy Mollett (Dennis), Marilee Cooper (JR) and Tina England (Tim); his in-laws, Roy and Gay Brown; his brother-in-law Mark Brown (Lisa); and his pet Tootsie. He was also cherished by loving nieces and nephews.

“David played Football for me as a Freshman at Ashland Paul Blazer High School. He went both ways, Quarterback on offense and MLB on defense. One of the smartest players I have coached in my 45 years of coaching. He had a special talent for taking a broken play and making positive yards time after time. David would do anything you ask of him with a smile on his face. He was a leader on and off the field and an example of Tomcat spirit to all. Cecil Wingo Head Track Coach Calumet High School”
