She is survived by: her husband Gary G. Bowling; her daughters, Christy A. Kelly (Jack) and Sandra K. Hayes (Paul) of Scottown, OH; her grandchildren, Seth Kelly (MacKenzie), Casey Kelly, Payton Hayes and Rachael Hayes; her great grandchild Brooks Kelly; her siblings, Gary Holbrook (Margaret) of Catlettsburg, KY and Brenda Wheeler of Ashland, KY; her stepsisters, Doris Shaver of Boyd and Beverly Lawrence of Huntington, WV.; her nephew Brad Wheeler (Sonya Earl); her sister Mary Ann Whetsel; her stepmother Lota Holbrook; her brother-in-law Thomas "Burford" Wheeler; her nephews, Steven Holbrook and Todd Brownson; and her niece Jennifer Holbrook. She is also survived by family, and friends.

In lieu of Flowers, the family believes it is better to give than take, so in Honor of Carolyn, a backpack drive is being held.
