He was predeceased by : his parents, William Woodrow Harmon and Dorothy Marie Ogburn; his sons, Larry Stephen Meadows, Jr. and Malcom Shane Harmon; and his sister Janet Marie Sellers.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Elaine Burgess Harmon of Carrollton, KY; and his children, William Woodrow Harmon of Winchester, KY, Shelley Burgess Moore of Ghent, KY and Becky Meadows Wilson of Carrollton, KY. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
