With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Cook of Carrollton, Kentucky, born in Bedford, Kentucky, who passed away on October 16, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Lee Cook and Julia Mary McAlister Cook; his close friend Thelma Ruth "Boots" Barnes; his stepdaughters, Janet L. Eversole, Willetta Ochy, Jennie Long, Dora Frazier, Betty McGuire and Martha Barnes; and his sisters, Josephine Cull, Lena Brooks, Lucy Cull, Gracie Cook, Clara Gregory and Alma Callis.
He is survived by: his daughter Lillian Julia "Cookie" Smith of Carrollton; and his siblings, Edward J. Cook of North Vernon, IN and Mayme Adams of Cleves, OH. He is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
