We bid farewell to Iris Jewell Wolfe of Carrollton, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 13, 2025 at the age of 76. Iris Jewell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elkanah Johnson and Eula Mae Shaw Johnson; her husband James Wolfe; and her siblings, Juanita White, Mildrene Morris, Doris June Hogan, Johnny Johnson, Elkanah Paul Johnson, Garvin Johnson, Winston Johnson, Leon Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Glenn Johnson and Joel Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Christel Lewellyn of Ghent, KY and Timothy Short (Wanda) of Independence, KY; her stepsons, Robert of Carrollton, KY and Terry Wolfe of Carrollton, KY; and her sister Barbara Burkhardt (Larry) of Milton, KY.. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home (809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the Ghent Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Pentecostals of Carrollton Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
