With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Matilda Caswell Hamilton (Carlisle, Kentucky), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Barnes and Nancy Jane Hall Barnes; her son Bobby Joe Adams, Jr.; her stepfather Vernon Goodwin; and her siblings, Charlie Goodwin and Ada Meadows.
She is survived by: her husband Douglas Roger Hamilton; her children, Emery Shepherd, Chris Adams (Stephanie Dixon), Steve Hamilton (JoAnne), Delilah Dollar (Charles Conner), Stacey Treash (Bruce) and Stephanie Hawkins (Roy, Sr.); her siblings, Trigger Barnes and Zellie Barnes (Dexter); and her daughter-in-law Theresa Adams. She is also survived by several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home (105 S Locust St, Carlisle, KY 40311). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
