He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Edward Hatton, Walter and Mary Sams. He is survived by: his daughter Katie Newby of Cynthiana; his siblings, Carol Hatton of Carlisle, Jill Hurt (Jason) of Georgetown, Glenn Hatton of Lexington and Adam Hatton of Lexington; his nieces and nephews, Taylor Hatton, Sydney Hatton (Chuck Dennis), Michael, Carolyn and Sophia Hurt; and his grandmother Maggie Emmons Hatton.
