He was predeceased by: his parents, James Simmons and Georgia Simmons (Boles); his brothers, Robert Wayne Simmons and Gregory Allen Simmons; and his brother-in-law Ray Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Pauletta Simmons; his sons, Scott Simmons (Cindy) and Steve "Doug" Simmons (Marie); his brother Steve Simmons; his grandchildren, Michael Gerrard (Heather), Jennifer Shaw, Elizabeth Simmons (Henry Nguyen), Brittany Simmons and Kayla Scott (Charlie); and his great grandchildren, Trevor Gerrard, Brooklyn Gerrard, Spencer Ashlock and Josephine Scott. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim's memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the American Cancer Society.
