He was predeceased by: his father Thurman; and his siblings, Sharon Hall, Bill Boggs, Raymond Boggs, Arnold Boggs, Nancy Arblis Stinnell, Thurman Boggs, Jr., Kenneth Boggs, Jearleen Dean and Stanley Boggs.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth McLean Boggs of Carlisle; his sons, Dale Boggs (Helen), Ernest Boggs (Polly), Patrick Boggs (Carolyn) and James David Boggs; his stepdaughter Brenda Trenton (David); and his close friend Connie Craig. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.
