He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sexton Markland; his children, Donald Markland, Jr. (Angie), Patrick Markland (Stephanie), Tammy Phillips (Ray) and Regina Purvis; his sister Marian Hatton; his sister-in-law Betty Markland; his grandchildren, D. R. Purvis (Kayla), Whitney Tedder (Dakota), Jalene Markland, Bryce Markland, Olivia Markland and Devin Phillips; his great grandchildren, Trystan, Nash Tedder and Landon Purvis; and his close friend Leslie Clark. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
