With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Luther Childress of Canmer, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Luther left this world on December 2, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Childress and Susie Glass Childress; his wife Betty Childress; and his brother Carl Childress. He is survived by: his children, Gary Childress (Bonnie) of Magnolia, KY and Karen Guffey (Wes) of Canmer, KY; his grandchildren, Jacob Guffey (Hannah), Kayla Goodman (Lee), Rachel Owens (Caleb), Hope Arterburn (Jason) and Kyle Childress (Caitlynn); and his sisters, Flora Murray and Betty Sue Gober. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brooks Funeral Home (50 Main St, Munfordville, KY 42765). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
