He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Melvin and Oda Lillian Gossett Melvin; his wife Geraldine McKinney Melvin; his daughters, Teresa Lynn Melvin and Martha Joyce Perkins; his son-in-law Billy Perkins; and his brothers, C. A., James Coleman and Herman Melvin.
He is survived by: his close friend Joe Logsdon of Canmer, KY.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brooks Funeral Home (50 Main St, Munfordville, KY 42765). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
